The Opportunity
We're building the deployment and management platform for autonomous AI agents. Not chatbots. Actual agents that process invoices, monitor compliance, qualify leads, and run entire business workflows.
We have the clients. We have the use cases. We have the blueprint. Now we need to build the infrastructure that makes it real.
You'll architect the platform that deploys and manages an agentic workforce - starting with our own clients, then expanding to transform how businesses work.
What You're Building
Week 1: Deploy your first agent using Google's a2a protocol on Vertex AI
Month 1: Build MCP servers that connect agents to real business systems
Month 3: Architect the orchestration layer for managing dozens of concurrent agents
Year 1: Scale the platform to handle enterprise deployments across GCP, Azure, and AWS
You'll build real agents for real clients while architecting the platform - learning what works in production, not in theory.
This is greenfield development with cutting-edge tech. Most of these tools didn't exist 6 months ago.
The Technical Challenge
You'll work with:
- Google Cloud AI Stack: Vertex AI Agent Builder, Extensions, Search & Conversation
- MCP Servers: Build and host Model Context Protocol servers for business integrations
- Multi-cloud Architecture: Start with GCP, extend to Azure/AWS for enterprise clients
- Event-driven Systems: Real-time streaming, pub/sub, agent orchestration
- Agent Infrastructure: Memory management, context handling, monitoring, self-healing
We don't expect you to know these specific tools - they're too new. We need someone with the foundational skills to master them quickly.
Core Requirements
Must-haves:
- 4+ years shipping production code (or exceptional ability proven otherwise)
- Deep Python expertise (FastAPI, asyncio) + solid TypeScript/Node
- Strong Google Cloud Platform experience
- Proven distributed systems and API design skills
- Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming systems
- Daily AI coding tool user (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)
- Exceptional async communication
Standout signals:
- Built platforms that scale (not just apps)
- Comfortable learning bleeding-edge tech from docs and experiments
- Experience with auth patterns, API gateways, observability
- Can architect systems from concept to production
- History of 10x productivity gains using AI tools

You'll work directly with the founder, a proven entrepreneur who's built and exited companies before. No layers, no politics - direct access to leadership and immediate impact on company direction. This isn't his first rodeo, and he knows how to build both products and teams.
The Package
Cash: $80,000 - $100,000 AUD
Equity: 0.5 - 1.0% (ESOP approved, 4-year vest, 1-year cliff)
Real ownership in a funded company with 24 months runway.
